Karin L. Weiner, Esq.
Employment and Labor Law, General Corporate Law, Training and Consulting
Karin has over 20 years of corporate legal experience. She has worked as either General Counsel or In-House Counsel for several publicly and privately traded companies. Her breadth of experience includes both Employment and Labor law as well as General Corporate issues.
Karin has handled matters dealing with the Family and Medical Leave Act, Fair Labor and Employment Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, including but not limited to managing the situations that involved harassment, discrimination and reasonable accommodation.
More specifically, Karin has resolved risk-management issues, managed HIPAA/privacy requirements, instituted workplace harassment trainings, handled investigations and mediations regarding potential violations of employment policies, created sound FLSA policies, and overseen disability and workplace harassment (e.g., race, gender, family care, pregnancy and religion) issues for the companies she has worked for.
Additionally, Karin has been involved with all aspects of litigation surrounding Americans with Disability Act claims, as well as Equal Employment Opportunity Commission claims. Such involvement included the overseeing and responsibility for all labor and employment lawsuits.
Lastly, in addition to giving over 1000 trainings over the past 10+ years to supervisors and employees on workplace harassment, discrimination, interviewing, performance management and documentation, Karin is also a practicing attorney and has assisted a multi-billion dollar, NYSE corporation with the above matters.

Katherine M. Anthony, Esq.
Kate is a licensed, experienced attorney who has been providing employment law-related legal compliance training and consulting in a wide variety of industries, for employers across the nation for more than 10 years. She has trained 1000+ courses in such industries as hospitality, retail, healthcare, manufacturing, entertainment, technology, higher education, and professional services, among others. Kate also currently provides best-practice advice to these employers around a variety of HR, EEO and legal compliance matters.
Early in her career, Kate represented employees in workplace harassment, discrimination and wrongful termination actions. She then became counsel to the Speaker of the Illinois House of Representatives. There, in addition to handling legislative matters, Kate defended the Speaker and other legislators in employment matters. Following that, Kate spent five years as in-house counsel for the Illinois Department of Corrections. Most recently, Kate was Chief Legal Counsel for the Illinois Department of Labor.
Craving a big dose of sunshine, Kate recently moved to San Diego, California. She is now focusing on advising California and neighboring-state employers on best HR, EEO and employment law practices, as well as continuing to train on these topics.
